Volotea is a Spanish low-cost airline headquartered in Barcelona, founded in 2011. It commenced operations on April 5, 2012, from Venice Marco Polo Airport, and has since grown into one of Europe’s fastest-rising carriers. In 2026, Volotea operates more than 430 routes — over half of them exclusive — connecting 110 small and mid-sized cities across 17 countries. Operating from 21 bases across Spain, France, and Italy, the airline runs an all-Airbus A319 and A320 fleet.
