From paper reports to interactive 3D models

Dent & Buckle’s journey began in 2014 when Kristinn Fannar Pálsson, an aircraft structural engineer from Iceland, conceived the idea of developing an application to replace paper and Excel-based aircraft dent and buckle charts. With Ingunn Ingimars, a former owner and CIO of JetX/Primera Air, they partnered with the aviation software company Output42. Recognizing the project’s potential, all parties embarked on a joint venture called dent & buckle ehf., registered in Iceland. Their shared goal was to create an advanced, mobile solution powered by 3D interactive airframe models.

Today, Dent & Buckle serves 20+ customers across North America, Europe, and Asia, delivering measurable benefits to the aviation industry. We aim to become the tool of choice for aircraft structural defect management worldwide.
